The workshop "Ecological tourism - cooperation between Nature Protected Areas and tourist industry" was successfuly held in Astrakhnasky State Nature Reserve on June 15-17.
There has been a workshop for the first time in Astrakhan region where negotiators of the reserves, Astrakhan' agency for tourism, leading tour operators and Astrakhan University took part. Participants have discussed the situation of ecotourism in reserve territories, problems of its development in Volga Delta and the perspectives of cooperation. Our colleague made a report about experience of Ecological Travel Centre in organization of ecological tours. Resuming the workshop participants elaborated the strategy of future cooperation in ecotourism development and education.
